		Berks & Bucks Cup Winners & Finalists! Congratulations to Ian Morland's U13s who won their cup final 2-1 against West Bletchley Sun 28 Mar at Newport Pagnell. They go on to the national Tesco finals.... Unfortunately, Paul Morgan's U12s lost 2-1 to Milton Keynes City in their B&B Cup Final on Sun 18 Apr at Abindgon...

		Parent Reps / Charity Collection message from Chairman Paul Rodgers 24/12/09: Hi everyone, I have just heard from Swings and Smiles that on Sunday 20^th we collected a total of Ł660.19 For the time we spent there this is a fantastic amount. Sian Cook, the founder of Swings and Smiles, has asked me to pass on here sincerest thanks for this. We would not have been able to organise this without the help of you so on behalf of the committee of AFC Newbury I would also like to thank you very much for your help with this. A special mention must go out to the Under 7’s with the help of Jenny Freer who arrived with over a dozen volunteers! Thanks to the Freer family themselves also who put in a 2 hour stint due to having two sons in different age groups!! As a club we can be very proud of this collection, we often draw many favourable comments from passers by when doing these collections, this can only reflect well on the club and please our sponsors. This would not have been possible without your efforts. Thanks again and have a great Christmas and New Year.

		KITS TO AFRICA Just to let you know that our old kit has now been collected by the RAF who will distribute it to under privileged children, probably in Kenya. Chairman Paul Rodgers will do some more on this in the next newsletter but our old kit will probably go to schools and Aids Orphanages. For more details click here. 		Rebranding - we recently decided to redesign of our club logo which you can see at the top of each page. This new badge will be shown on all new documentation and kit for the coming season. The centre piece is Donnington Castle which represents a link to our local history, the shield outline, football & year established remain similar to our old version. We have also simplified the wording by removing the word "Boys" should we wish to reform a girls teams in the future.

		FUN SOCCER! - many of our youngest players start at Keith Butcher's Fun Soccer sessions on Saturday mornings 09:15-11:00 at Speen Recreation Ground, Station Road, Speen, Newbury, RG14 1UD. Here they can enjoy informal games under qualified coaching supervision for Ł5 and meet other players who can join AFCNB. Call Butch on 07769-975130 for more details.
